Transform Your Body Effectively with These Three Lessons I've Learned! #transformationtuesday
Your body didn't change overnight and you can't transform it to something else overnight either. With over 17 years of experience in the health & fitness industry, I've learned some tips to help you transform your mind & body effectively! ⬇️
1️⃣ THERE'S NO SINGLE FOOD OR EXERCISE THAT WILL CHANGE YOUR BODY. It's the combination of healthier choices with your lifestyle. There's no secret or magic bullet, in order to get the results, you have to put the work in consistently. Consistency means most (4-5) days of the week, 30-60 minutes (depending on your goals/intensity).

2️⃣ LIFT WEIGHTS. Lift heavy weights. You don't have to be a power lifter, but in order for you to see a change in the shape of your body or "toning" you must add resistance training in. In order to see the most gains, incorporate 3-4 days of resistance training into your routine. If you are doing cardio most days, swap 2 of your cardio routines out for strength training and your body will thank you! Don't know where to start with your strength training? You can book a 1:1 Personal Training Session OR you can book my 30 minute Tabata Weight Training group class!

3️⃣ TAKE PROGRESS PICTURES! Call it vain or silly, but honestly, having photos of yourself along with your measurements is a lot more helpful than what the scale says. Being able to look at your body change from week to week is fun and fascinating and a surefire way to help you progress! When I did "No Lift November" this past year, I started by taking my measurements (Biceps, Chest, Waist, Hips, & Thigh) and taking these photos. We look at ourselves daily so it can be hard to notice changes. The scale may say one thing, but how do you clothes fit? How do you feel? Taking these into account along with measurements can help give you a better picture of your body composition and any change you see along the way. I recommend taking photos every 4 weeks.
